Who we are

Fernix PDF is operated by Wrecking Ball Consulting LLC, based in Lago Vista, Texas. By using fernixpdf.com you agree to these terms.

The service

Fernix PDF converts Microsoft Word documents (.doc and .docx) to PDF format. The free tier allows 10 conversions per day with no account required. The Pro tier provides unlimited conversions and batch processing for $4.99 per month.

Your files

You retain full ownership of any files you upload. We do not claim any rights to your content. Files are processed in memory and never stored -- we have no copy of your documents after conversion is complete.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to convert any file you upload. Do not upload files containing unlawful content.

Pro subscription

Pro subscriptions are billed at $4.99 per month via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your payment provider. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

If you are not satisfied with your first month of Pro, contact us within 7 days of your initial payment at privacy@fernixpdf.com for a full refund. After 7 days, and for all subsequent billing periods, payments are non-refundable.

Access to Pro features is granted via a magic link sent to your email address. If you lose access, you can request a new sign-in link at fernixpdf.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Fernix PDF to:

• Upload files you do not have the right to convert
• Attempt to circumvent the free tier rate limit through automated requests, VPNs, or other methods
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the infrastructure
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying conversion technology

We reserve the right to block access to any IP address or account that abuses the service.

Disclaimer of warranties

Fernix PDF is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uptime, conversion accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use the service at your own risk.

We aim for pixel-perfect output but cannot guarantee that every Word document will convert with perfect fidelity. Complex formatting, embedded fonts, or unusual document structures may affect output quality.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wrecking Ball Consulting LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Fernix PDF. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.

Changes to the service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
